Inverness Caley football star Richard Foran will go on trial in February facing allegations of breaking the peace by fighting in the city centre and trying to pervert the course of justice.

Foran (33) of Willow Avenue, Inverness was not present at the city’s Justice of the Peace Court today when his case called..

His solicitor John McColl tendered pleas of not guilty on his behalf.

Foran denies on July 21, 2013 at Inglis Street behaving in a threatening or abusive likely to cause fear and alarm and that he engaged in fighting.

He also denies fleeing from police and hiding from pursuing police officers with the intention of perverting the course of justice and that he attempted to pervert the course of justice.

An intermediate diet was fixed for January 22 and the trial diet was set for February 13.
