He was appointed Parish Priest of Christ the King Church in Brora in May 2018.

After leaving school he applied for training as a priest in the Scottish Episcopal Church, and after completing his degree at Edinburgh University, was ordained into the Ministry of the Anglican Church in 1974. He converted to the Roman Catholic Church just over 30 years ago.

After seminary training in Rome, he returned to work in the Aberdeen diocese as a deacon 26 years ago. He said: “It was all part of a pilgrimage that is not yet ended.”
