Brora men to stand trial in Wick
THREE Brora men are to stand trial at Wick Sheriff Court in March following incidents at a Thurso nightclub on Sunday.
The trio, who appeared from custody at Wick yesterday, are Scott Millar (22) of Wayside, Doll; Lewis Beaumont (20) of 9 Faskally Cottages, and Matthew Norrie (21) of 1 Manse Park. They pleaded not guilty.
Beaumont denied assaulting Julian Jackman by repeatedly punching him on the head, to his injury at Skinandi’s nighclub; Norrie is accused of slapping Celeste Sinclair on the head and Millar is alleged to have caused damage by throwing a large block at a door.
In addition, all three pleaded not guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by punching and kicking doors while fighting and struggling with stewards.
The accused were all granted bail by Sheriff Andrew Berry and will return to court for their trial on March 14. They are banned from entering the nightclub, meantime.
