Police Scotland said the discovery was made on Wednesday afternoon.

A statement said: "Around 1.45pm on Wednesday June 1, the body of a woman was discovered in Loch Ness, near the A831 Road at Drumnadrochit.

"No formal identification has taken place, however it's believed to be 26-year-old Bilin Chen, who was reported missing from Bath in England.

"Officers have been liaising with her family.

"There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
