Bailed Reay offender hid under baby’s cot in bid to avoid cops
A Reay man banned from seeing his partner hid under a baby’s cot when police called at her house, Wick Sheriff Court heard on Wednesday.
However, Dorian Kasperczyk (22) was discovered when officers carried out a search and arrested him.
He admitted having failed to comply with a bail condition on December 10. It prevented him from entering Macpherson Walk and contacting Carrie Buck.
Fiscal depute Grant McLennan said that police, acting on a tip-off, arrived at Ms Buck’s house in Macpherson Walk, Thurso, to be told by her that Kasperczk was not in.
Kasperczyk was arrested and taken to Wick Police Station where he struggled with officers and repeatedly pulled away from them and lashed out with his limbs and later “caused a ruckus in his cell”.
Sheriff Neil Wilson, who saw a background report, commented that the accused, of Beinn Ratha Court, Reay, was “doing well” with an unpaid work order imposed previously for an unrelated offence, and added a further 100 hours to his current total.
