Bad weather takes its toll on Sutherland schools
FARR High School in Sutherland is amongst those closed this morning due to bad weather.
Lochinver, Melvich and Tongue Primary are also on today's Highland Council closure list with severe road conditions cited at Lochinver and 'bad weather' the other two.
Meanwhile there will be no school transport to Gairloch High School today due to poor road conditions.
The area has been hit by heavy snow showers and a Met Office weather warning for snow and ice is in place until Wednesday morning.
The school posted: "Due to poor road conditions there will be no school transport today."
It said the school will be open to pupils and staff, adding: "Please only travel if it is safe to do so.
"Prelims for today will be organised for a later date.
"Take care and stay safe."
Gairloch Primary is also "partially closed" due to the same reason.
Broadford Primary is closed due to bad weather.
The school closure list can be found on Highland Council's website here. It is updated from 7am every morning.
This story will be updated as we get more information.
