FICTION fans from around the world joined locals at Ullapool Bookshop for its latest author signing session yesterday.
Gareth Halliday (G R Halliday) dropped in to sign copies not only of his latest work, Under the Marsh, but also every one of his books in stock.
The bookshop's Katharine Douglas said: "So lovely to have had a successful Meet the Author event with Gareth Halliday who met a wide variety of international customers and has signed every book of his we stock (From the Shadows, Dark Waters and his latest Under the Marsh).
"A few signed paperbacks are still available, but not many! Thank you so much for coming in though and we are already looking forward to your next visit."

In 2019 his first book, From the Shadows, was shortlisted for the McIlvanney Debut Prize.
His creation, DI Monica Kennedy, has become a firm fan favourite.
