Assynt Development Trust seeks person to work on Local Place Plan for area

Assynt Development Trust is looking for someone to work on a place plan for the area after securing funding for the post.

The organisation is looking to take on one person on a contractual, self-employed basis to work on the creation of a Local Place Plan for all of Assynt.

A Local Place Plan is a community-led plan that proposes how land should be developed and used in a particular area, and it is taken into account when a Local Development Plan is prepared.

A spokesperson for the trust said: “The key task is to coordinate and deliver the programme of community engagement and consultation.”

The new appointee would be expected to work five days a month until the end of June. Remuneration will be discussed and agreed upon with those interviewed.

Anyone interested in the post is asked to send a covering email outlining their experience of public engagement and consultation to assyntdevelopmenttrust@gmail.com.
