A range of old vehicles dated from 1913 onwards will be on show at a popular annual rally this weekend.

The Caithness and Sutherland Vintage and Classic Vehicle Club will host its annual rally and show at John O’Groats on Sunday from noon.

The show will feature a range of vehicles in a list of more than 140 exhibits.

There will also be agricultural vehicles, stationary engines, machinery, motorcycles and tractors, as well as a range of trade stalls, food and drinks, dancing displays, Wick Pipe Band and other attractions including model boats, the local fire engine and a display by the Northern Ford Club and Highland Car Club.

Blue Bell, the club's Standard 10 car, will be on show, and people can hear how the famous little car saved many other vehicles from being scrapped.

Club chairman Kevin Sutherland said: “The show will have a new look this year. We have rearranged the show field layout to make room for more vehicles and exhibits. It will be more of a show with only four trophies now awarded – best exhibit on show, best modified or restored exhibit, furthest travelled and youngest owner.”

Parking is free, and the car park will be split into east and west in an effort to reduce congestion on the surrounding roads. Donations will be collected at the gate.
