A9 traffic blocked in both directions after road crash

Air ambulances are attending an A9 road crash in Badenoch.

Emergency services were called to the A9/A86 overpass at Ralia, just south of Newtonmore, at 5.10pm today.

"All lanes are restricted in both directions," alerted Traffic Scotland.

Details of the incident are still awaited from the authorities.

"The A9 at Newtonmore is currently closed in both directions due to a road traffic incident," stated the Traffic Scotland website.

"Motorists are advised to expect longer than normal journey times and use an alternative route at this time.

"Expect Delays."

Traffic is currently being diverted through Kingussie to the north of the crash scene.
