A9 crash south of Tain blocks north bound carriageway

The northbound carriageway of the A9 is closed following a collision just south of Tain today.

The road was closed in both directions and traffic was at a standstill with emergency services on the scene.

The southbound carriageway reopened around 2pm and police are directing traffic

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
