A9 crash leaves road ‘partially blocked’ near Tain, Traffic Scotland warns Highland motorists

Motorists have been warned to be cautious on approach after a crash partially blocked the A9 near Tain.

The crash occurred at around 3pm and emergency services informed.

In an update at 3.19pm, Traffic Scotland said: “The A9 at Tain is partially blocked due to a road traffic incident. Drivers are advised to use caution on approach. Further updates to follow as we get them.”

There was no immediate word as to the number of vehicles involved, if anyone was injured, or the precise location - although it is understood it occurred in the area near the Glenmorangie Distillery.
