BANKS - (Brora) - The family wish to express their thanks to all relatives and friends for their kind and thoughtful messages of sympathy extended to them recently. Grateful thanks also to the staff of the Cambusavie Unit, Golspie, during Alan's stay for respite care and latterly in the loving care of the staff of The Meadows Nursing Home before passing away. Thanks to all who attended his cremation service in Inverness and for the fitting tribute by celebrant, Alan Smurthwaite, highlighting many of the poems written by Alan. To David Ross and staff of Mackay & Macaskill Funeral Directors for their helpful and sympathetic handling of the funeral arrangements. Donations raised at the service £403.42 will be divided between The Meadows Nursing Home and Cancer Research U.K.
