Community Market

Made in Assynt community market at Lochinver Village Hall today 10am-4pm.

Coffee Morning

Coffee morning at the West Church Hall, Dornoch, today 10.30am-12pm. Fresh pancakes and baking stall. All welcome.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20

Estate Open Day

Grosvenor’s Reay Forest Estate is holding an open day at Achfary Hall on Saturday 10am-4pm. Learn about the estate’s conservation and environmental projects as well as its deer management and forestry activities. There will also be information on careers in rural estates and philanthropy through the Westminster Foundation. Soup and sweet lunch £5/£3. The event is free to attend and no booking is required.

Daffodil Tea

Daffodil tea at the Kyle Centre on Saturday 11am-1pm. Raffle, sales table, local crafts, baking and bottle stall. Entry by donation. All welcome.

Tipsy Tea Party

Golspie Primary Parent Council is holding a Tipsy Tea Party at Golspie Bowling Green on Saturday from 3pm. £30. Raffle. Limited tickets available. Contact Stacey Fraser on Facebook messenger.

Film Night

Films Gu Leor will be screening Rory’s Way, starring Brian Cox, at Skerray Village Hall on Saturday 7pm. Hot drinks and snacks available.

Quiz Night

Quiz night at Dornoch Social Club on Saturday 7pm for 7.30pm-10pm. Teams of up to four. A fun evening for all with prizes, competitions and a raffle.

Musical Evening

Sutherland Accordion and Fiddle Club musical evening at Rogart Hall on Saturday from 8pm. Guest artiste is the Callum McCall Trio. Admission, including tea, £5/£2.

RepaIr Cafe

Repair Cafe at Ardgay Hall on Sunday 1pm-4pm. Bring one item you would like fixed - clothing, electrical or mechanical. Also a demonstration of how to quilt and weave rugs using recycled materials. Refreshments and conversation.

Boogie Bounce

Learn Gaelic

Walks

Join the countryside ranger for a 6km hill and woodland walk to Castle Varrich on Tuesday 10.30am-1pm. Meet at the car park opposite the hotel in Tongue. The walk will continue past the castle over the hill beyond, returning to the village by the old road. Over 18s only.

Countryside ranger guided 4km coastal walk to Clachtoll Broch on Tuesday 11am-3pm. Meet at Clachtoll beach car park. Over 18s only. Book via Eventbrite.

Sutherland Camera Club meets at Dornoch Community Centre on Tuesday 8pm-9pm.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24

Ballet

East Sutherland Live Arts and Entertainment (ESLAE) will be screening the classic ballet Swan Lake at Brora Community Centre on Wednesday from 7.15pm. Swan Lake remains to this day one of the best-loved works in the classical ballet canon

THURSDAY, APRIL 25

Yoga and Kundadance

Yoga, Kundadance and clothes and toys swap at Skerray Village hall on Thursday 10am-12pm. Free event for parents and children who want to relax. For more information, email: eva;izoa1970@hotmail.com
