TWO celebrated institutions in an Easter Ross town are on the crest of a wave - thanks to the public appetite for a pizza created on the Black Isle.

Tom Stoltman of Invergordon made headlines around the world earlier this month when he battled his way to a third World’s Strongest Man accolade in four years.

Big brother Luke, for long an inspiration to Tom, was also a finalist in the gruelling competition, grabbing ninth place, having already landed a Europe’s Strongest Man title.

The world’s strongest brothers are well known for getting involved in local causes and giving back to the community which supports them in their endeavours.

One such venture was the creation of a unique Stoltman pizza in conjunction with the well-known Sutor Creek eatery in Cromarty.

The brothers had great fun creating it, packing it with black pudding, pulled pork, chicken, bacon, venison salami and buffalo mozzarella.

And in a big-hearted deal, it was agreed a donation from every single one sold would be reserved for RNLI Invergordon - another of the Easter Ross town’s much-loved institutions.

In passing on congratulations to the brothers for their latest strongman antics, Sutor Creek this week revealed that the kitty for RNLI Invergordon currently stands at £1000.

It posted: “Strongmen, yes, but also generous and great fun.”

The Invergordon team posted in response: “Massive well done to the outstanding team and at Sutor Creek for the Stoltman creation and raising an amazing amount for the RNLI! We’ll be over soon for a visit!”

Unsure about whether you’d like to try the celebrated pizza? We did the work for you last year with a tried and tasted.
