The Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust (KoSDT) has joined forces with the Sutherland Community Partnership and a “significant local landowner” to compile the database.

A questionnaire has been created and anyone interested is asked to complete it by Monday May 20 at latest.

A KoSDT spokesperson said: “The information provided by the questionnaire will allow potential crofters to be matched up with available land, with provision of sites for housing being a priority.

“It is hoped that this questionnaire will provide valuable information on the scale and nature of the demand for crofts in Sutherland and East Ross...which will hopefully unlock more homes, sites and opportunities for younger people to be able to live and work in the area.”
