Snow affecting A9
Snow affecting A9

All roads in the Northern Constabulary area are open, however most continue to be badly affected by snow and ice, particularly the A9 in the Drumochter area, where it continues to snow.

The forecasted thaw has begun in the west and as this spreads to the rest of the force, drivers should expect surface water on most roads.

Police are continuing to ask motorists to take extra care and give themselves extra time to complete their journey.
