Jillian MacDonald graduated BSc in Adult Nursing from Stirling University. A former pupil of Tain Royal Academy, Jillian is now working in the Lawson Memorial Hospital in Golspie. She is the daughter of David and Carol MacDonald, Lamington, Kildary.

Audrey MacLennan of Airdens, Bonar Bridge, graduated from Salisbury College in Wiltshire with an HND in Business Management. Audrey is the daughter of Lorna and the late Cathel MacLennan, and granddaughter of Dinah and the late Eachen Calder, Portgower. She is currently serving with the 4th Logistic Support Regiment, Royal Logistic Corps, in Oxfordshire.

Ruth Mackay of Conon Bridge graduated BEd (Hons) in Primary Education from Aberdeen University. Ruth is the eldest grandchild of Polly and the late Geordie Murray of Helmsdale, and Willie Robert and the late Effie Mackay, also Helmsdale.

Sally Mackay graduated BSc in Mental Health Nursing from the University of Stirling. She is the daughter of Thompson and Allison Mackay, Brora.

Tom Mackintosh graduated BSc in Biomedical Science from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. A former pupil of Dornoch Academy, Tom is the son of Jock and Elaine Mackintosh, Embo Mains.

Janice MacRae graduated BSc in Cancer and Palliative Care from Napier University in Edinburgh. She is a member of the East Sutherland community nursing team and works in the Brora and Helmsdale areas.

Neil McLaughlin, the son of Graeme and Kathleen McLaughlin, Golspie, graduated BSc (Hons) in architecture from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Neil will continue his studies with a postgraduate course.

Mark MacBeath graduated BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. A grandson of Janet and the late James Landles, and a former pupil of Golspie High School, Mark is now employed with Subsea 7 in Aberdeen.

Andrew Mackay, a former pupil of Farr High School, graduated BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh. He is the son of Rosemary Mackay, 2 Gordon Terrace, Bettyhill.

Barbara C Macleod graduated Bachelor of Design (Hons) from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee. A former pupil of Lochinver Primary and Ullapool High School, Barbara is the daughter of Donald and Jean Macleod, 40 Strathan, Lochinver.

Jan Maclean graduated BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. A former pupil of Rosehall Primary School and Golspie High School, Jan is the eldest daughter of Donald and Mairi Maclean, Invershin, and granddaughter of Janet Maclean, North Kessock.

Eilidh Macrae graduated BA (Hons) in Nursing Studies from Glasgow Caledonian University. Eilidh is the youngest daughter of Hamish and Eileen Macrae, Dornoch.

Julie Macdonald graduated with a Higher National Diploma in Office Administration and Information Technology from Aberdeen College. Julie is the daughter of Willie and Pamela Macdonald, West Clyne, Brora, and granddaughter of Neville and Sylvia Gazey, Brora. She is currently employed with Eagle Consulting in Inverness.

Alexandra MacAskill, daughter of Alastair MacAskill of 35 Strathan, Lochinver, graduated PhD in Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science from the University of Manchester.

Amy Mackay of Fasgadh, Scourie, graduated with an HNC in Hospitality Operations from Inverness College. Amy is a former pupil of Scourie Primary and Kinlochbervie High School and is currently employed in the Mansfield Castle Hotel in Tain.

Kimberly Macleod, wife of John Macleod, Acheilidh, Rogart, graduated from Inverness College with an HND in Accounting.

Ben Macleod of Lochinver has passed out from the Defence School of Health Care Studies at Army Training Regiment Litchfield, after completing three years of study at the University of Central England. Ben, who serves in Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps, is the youngest son of Roy and Susan Macleod, Mountview, Lochinver. A former pupil of Ullapool High School, he is now based at Portsmouth Hospital.

Lucy Macdonald graduated in Tourism Management from Caledonian University, Glasgow. She is the daughter of Donnie and Morag Macdonald, The Terrace, Lairg, and grand-daughter of Hugh and the late Irene Macdonald, Gruids, Lairg.

Gary McDonald graduated MA (Hons) in Management Studies and Politics from the University of Aberdeen. He is the son of Ron and Lyn McDonald, Pitmedden, Aberdeenshire, formerly of 10 Market Street, Brora, and a former pupil of Brora Primary and Golspie High School.

Lynn MacRae recently graduated BA Psychology (Hons). She is the daughter of Billy and Sandra Macrae, Ross Street, Golspie and will be working in Easter Ross.

Kim MacGregor graduated BA Business Administration from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Kim is the youngest daughter of Jake and Caroline MacGragor, Syall, Ardgay.

Diane Mackay, graduated with honours in Primary Education from Edinburgh University. Daughter of Janice Mackay, Wick, and George Mackay, Helmsdale, Diane is a former pupil of Wick South Primary School and Wick High School. Diane will be working in Mount Pleasant Primary School, Thurso this year.

Lewis Murray MacKenzie, former pupil of Knockbreck Primary school and Tain Royal Academy, graduated BSc (Hons) in Applied Mathematics from University of Glasgow. Lewis is the youngest son of Richard and Christine MacKenzie and grandson of George and Kay Murray, Rogart, and the late Clair and May MacKenzie, Kinbrace.

Stephen Macdonald, son of John and Gena Macdonald, Little Rogart, Rogart, received his postgraduate diploma in Advanced Clinical Nursing from Melbourne University in Australia. Stephen is on the staff of the critical care unit at Epworth Freemasons Hospital, East Melbourne.
