Morag Keating, youngest daughter of Alan and Jean Keating, Main Street, Golspie, graduated BA Social Sciences at UHI.

Rory Lamrock LLB (Hons) M Litt graduated from the University of St Andrews with a Masters in International Security Studies. Rory is the younger son of Betsy Murray, Golspie, and is currently working in France.

Linda Morrison graduated SVQ Level 3 in Children's Care Learning and Development from North Highland College. Linda is the daughter of Helen and the late Markie Mackay, Brora.

Edward Murray graduated BSC (Hons) in Geography from Aberdeen University. Edward is the son of Kathleen and Ed Murray of Laurencekirk and grandson of Cathie Christie, Golspie, and the late Robert Christie, Drummuie.

Talitha Mears, of Backies, Golspie, daughter of Paul and Rosie, graduated BSc Hons in occupational therapy from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.

Andrew Lewis graduated BSC with 1st class honours in computing and information. Andrew is the eldest son of Julie Lewis, Dornoch, and first grandson of Andrew Macleod and the late Jessie (nee Littlejohn). Andrew is a former pupil of Dornoch Primary School and Tain Royal Academy. He is now a software developer in Aberdeenshire.

Allen Munro qualified as a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland. A former pupil of Gledfield Primary School and Tain Royal Academy, Allen is the son of Moray and Anne Munro, Anmor, Ardgay. He is currently working for KPMG, chartered accountants, in Aberdeen.

Daniel Lansley graduated BA (Hons) in Law from Edinburgh Napier University. Daniel attended Durness Primary School and Kinlochbervie High School before starting at university in 2005. He is the younger son of Gwen and Ronnie Lansley, Durness.

Mark Laird of 37 Clerkhill, Bettyhill, graduated MEng (Chemical Engineering) from Strathclyde University at a ceremony in the university's Barony Hall. A former pupil of Farr High School and its primary department, Mark is the only son of Sandra Laird, practice nurse at Armadale Medical Practice.

Fiona Matheson graduated from Aberdeen College with an HND in Sports Coaching with Development of Sport. A former pupil of Dornoch Academy, Fiona is the daughter of Johnnie and Pat Matheson, Clashmugach Crofthouse, Clashmore. She is now studying at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

David Longmuir graduated from Edinburgh University with an honours degree in music. David is the son of Heather and Ian Longmuir, Tigh Allan, Evelix, Dornoch, and grandson of the late Alexanderina and Donald Mackay, Golf Road, Helmsdale. He is returning to Edinburgh University next year to do postgraduate studies in teaching.

Rebecca Milne graduated BSc (Hons) in Textiles and Fashion Design Management from Heriot-Watt University’s Scottish Borders Campus in Galashiels. Rebecca, eldest daughter of Bruce and Eunice Milne, Spinningdale, is a former pupil of Dornoch Academy.

Karel Matheson graduated in nursing from Napier University in Edinburgh. Karel is the granddaughter of Gordon and Margaret Matheson, Stafford Terrace, Brora. She is currently working in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Jennifer Lee graduated MA (Hons) in Business Studies from Edinburgh University. A former pupil of Rogart Primary School, Dornoch Academy, and Keith Grammar School, Jennifer is the daughter of Barry and Jean Lee of Spinningdale.

Steven Morrison graduated BA in Corporate Communication from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. He is the son of Paul and Mary Morrison, Aberdeen, and grandson of the late Hugh and Chrissie Gunn of Golspie.

Alison Kerr graduated BA in Early Childhood Studies from Strathclyde University. She is now pursuing a postgraduate course at Edinburgh University to gain a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary). Alison is the daughter of Capt and Mrs J Mackay, ‘Morven’, Old Caithness Road, Helmsdale.

Andrew Munro from Kinlochbervie was awarded a Masters degree in environmental protection and management by Edinburgh University.

Alison Liddell of Invershin graduated with distinction BSc in Cancer and Palliative Care from Napier University in Edinburgh. A mother of five, Alison is Macmillan clinical nurse specialist for North and West Sutherland.

Tristram Lansley of Durness graduated BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Napier University in Edinburgh. The eldest son of Gwen and Ronnie Lansley, Sangomore Headland, Tristram (23) attended Durness Primary School and Kinlochbervie High School before going on to study in Edinburgh. He has just started work with Biwater’s consultancy services, who specialise in water asset management across the globe. Tristram is based in Hamilton near Glasgow.

Claire Louise Moffat graduated from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, BSc (Hons) in Nursing. She is the daughter of Robert and Jennifer Moffat, The Craigs, Ardgay. She is currently working in the Renal Dialysis Unit in Aberdeen.

Lorna Maitland graduated BSc (Hons) in Public Health Nutrition from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh. She is the grand-daughter of Jim and Cathie Ross, Inchard House, Rhiconich.

Carolyn Low graduated with honours in Virology from Glasgow University. She is the daughter of Valerie and Alistair Low, Edinburgh, and great-granddaughter of the late Ian and Willie Gunn, Lamigo, Skerray.

Claire Luisa Manson graduated MA (Hons) in Geography from Aberdeen University. Claire is the granddaughter of Sheena and George Manson, Brora, and of Mary and Bobby McCulloch, Golspie. A former pupil of Viewlands Primary School and Perth Academy, she is now going on to do a PhD at Edinburgh University.

Karen Levey graduated MB, ChB from Edinburgh University. Karen is the daughter of John Levey, Cheshire, and Heather Grant, Rearquhar, Dornoch, and the grand-daughter of Glen Grant, Dornoch. Karen is currently working in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Ian Moffat of Camore, Dornoch, graduated with honours in civil engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University. Ian is the son of John Moffat, Pitgrudy, and Susan Moffat, Aviemore. He is the grandson of James and Katie Moffat, Croick, and of Jean Mezzetti and the late Murdo Matheson, Clashmugach. Ian is grateful to Edward Mackay Ltd for their support throughout his degree, and is now employed by Edward Mackay Energy.
