Charlotte Holland graduated BSC (Hons) in Rural Resource Management from the Scottish Agricultural College and Edinburgh University. A former pupil of Dornoch Academy, Charlotte is the daughter of David and Rosemary Holland of Balloan, Lairg, and formerly of Embo Street, Dornoch.

Linzi Jack graduated MPharm, from Strathclyde University. Linzi is the daughter of Donnie and Lyndie Jack, Main Street, Golspie.

Kirsty Grant graduated from Glasgow University with joint honours in history and politics. Kirsty, daughter of Iain and Jane Grant of Thurso, is the granddaughter of Mary Grant and the late Dr Grant, formerly of Armadale, and Margaret Mackay and the late John Kenneth Mackay of Crask, Bettyhill.

Shonagh Horsburgh from Syre Estate in Strathnaver graduated BSc in Adult Nursing from the University of Stirling. Shonagh is a former pupil of Altnaharra Primary School and Farr High School in Bettyhill.

Siobhon Horsburgh from Syre Estate in Strathnaver graduated from the Aberdeen Business School at Robert Gordons University with a BA in International Tourism Management. Siobhon is a former pupil of Altnaharra Primary School and Farr High School in Bettyhill.

Valerie Gray of 9 Munro Crescent, Milton, graduated in geography and sociology from Edinburgh University. Valerie is the granddaughter of Annie and the late Jimmy MacLeod, 14 Lochside, Lairg.

Martin Gray graduated with an honours degree in business studies from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. He is the grandchild of Jenny and the late Ronnie MacNicol of Helmsdale, and Iain and Christina Gray of Lairg.

Laureen Gray graduated HNC in hairdressing and barbering from Moray College in Elgin with an HNC in hairdressing and barbering. She is the grandchild of Jenny and the late Ronnie MacNicol of Helmsdale, and Iain and Christina Gray of Lairg.

Brigitte Geddes, Ardgay, graduated with a BSc (Honours) degree (Class 2.1) in Environment and Heritage Studies (UHI MI) in Elgin recently. She was awarded an interdisciplinary BA (Honours) degree from the Open University in 1995.

Ruth Henderson of Tongue graduated Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Dundee. Ruth works in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Angela Jones, former pupil of Kinlochbervie Primary and Golspie High Schools, graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (Hons) in Film Studies.

Karina Hamilton graduated with an HND in Administration and Information Technology from Reid Kerr College, Paisley, where she also won the Balfour Kilpatrick Special Award. Karina is the daughter of Christine and the late Willie Mackay, Portgower. Educated at Helmsdale Primary School and Golspie High School, she now works in Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow.

Donna James from Bonar Bridge graduated BSc in Mental Health Nursing from Stirling University. She is now working in Migdale Hospital, Bonar Bridge.

Elizabeth Hedges of Polin, Kinlochbervie, graduated BSc in Nursing from the University of Stirling’s Highland campus. Elizabeth is now working as a staff nurse in ward 3A at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

Heidi Grillo (nee Dickson) graduated with distinction in complementary therapies from Napier University, Edinburgh. Heidi is the daughter of Don Dickson, Golspie, and Liz Rapson, Edinburgh, and the granddaughter of Jimmy Dickson, Golspie, and Stanley and Tina Ross, Brora.
