Chrystal Maree Catto graduated with honours in digital arts from the Ayr campus of the University of the West of Scotland. She is a former pupil of Tain Royal Academy and Dornoch Academy. For her primary education she attended the Gaelic unit in Gairloch and latterly Craighill Primary, Tain.

Andrew Cairns, eldest son of Andrew and Helen Cairns, Helmsdale, graduated from Stirling University with a BA (Hons) in Accountancy. He is the grandson of June and the late Barney Smith, Brora, and Margaret and the late Benny Cairns, Helmsdale. Andrew was educated at Helmsdale Primary and Golspie High School, and is now employed as a fund accountant with investment bankers J P Morgan in Edinburgh.

Avril Bremner graduated from University of Aberdeen with BEd (Hons) in Primary Education. She is a former pupil of Pulteneytown Academy and Wick High School. She is the daughter of Jasper and Elspeth Bremner, "The Clachan", Wick, and granddaughter of Elret and the late Tommy Sutherland, Helmsdale, and Jenny and the late James Bremner, Wick. Avril has taken up a probationary post at Smithton Primary School.

Kyle Allan, son of Ede Allan, Sangomore, Durness, graduated from Abertay University with honours in Creative Sound Production. Kyle (24) has been working on the sound system for the Rod Stewart concert last week in Inverness.

Karlyn Coghill BSc (Hons) graduated Master of Science with distinction in Biomedical Science from University of Ulster, Coleraine. A former pupil of Brora Primary and Golspie High Schools, Karlyn is the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Coghill. She is currently working as a specialist Biomedical Scientist in Haematology at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.

Lisa Cameron graduated from Dundee University with a Bachelor of Nursing degree. She is currently working at the Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, in Burns and Plastic Surgery. She is now studying towards her Masters at Glasgow University. Lisa is the only daughter of John and Henrietta Cameron, 98 Torroble, Lairg, and the grand-daughter of Catherine and the late Davie Cameron, Lairg, and John and the late Seonag Cameron, also Lairg.

Steven Andrews of Culrain, Ardgay, who attended Gledfield Primary and Tain Royal Academy graduated Doctor of Philosophy (Geology) from The University of Aberdeen and will be taking up a post with The Cambridge Arctic Shelf Programme, working in Greenland. Steven is the son of Alison Andrews and stepson of Peter Wright, Culrain.

Debbie Archer has been awarded a PhD in Equine Epidemiology by the University of Liverpool. The only daughter of Mr and Mrs W J Archer and granddaughter of Mrs Jessie and the late Duncan Macleod of Brae, Ardgay, Debbie graduated from Glasgow Veterinary School in 1996. She is now senior lecturer in equine surgery at Liverpool University and is married to a fellow veterinary surgeon.
