Golspie need good weather to get some games under their belt.

WITH a bigger backlog of matches than any other team in the North Caledonian League, Golspie Sutherland will be desperate to get their Jock MacKay Memorial Cup semi-final tie against Clachnacuddin at King George V played tomorrow (Saturday).

But with temperatures set to rise at the weekend hopes are high the tie will finally get the go-ahead.

Golspie are expected to be at full strength for the tie, and with a cup final place at stake there is plenty of incentive for them to do well.

In the quarter-final, Alness United and Dingwall Thistle will try again to get their tie played, which has been postponed three times, at Dalmore Park.

In the league, Balintore have home advantage against Thurso at Seaboard Park, while Muir of Ord Rovers clash with leaders Halkirk United at Pavilion Park.

Fixtures: Saturday, February 11 – Jock MacKay Memorial Cup semi-finals – 1pm – Golspie Sutherland v Clachnacuddin. Quarterfinal – 1pm - Alness United v Dingwall Thistle. League – 1.30pm – Balintore v Thurso; Muir of Ord Rovers v Halkirk United.
