Three fire units attend outbreak at Helmsdale home

Firefighters were called out in the early hours of Wednesday after fire was reported at a Helmsdale address.

Three teams from Helmsdale, Golspie and Dunbeath raced to the Rockview Place property when the alarm was sounded at 2.37am.

A spokesman said: "“Two powerful water jets and firefighters dressed in protective breathing apparatus extinguished the fire.

"No casualties were reported. Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”

It is understood the home was badly smoke damaged.
