The A9 is currently closed in both directions south of Drumochter because of an accident involving a BEAR Scotland gritter and three vehicles.
The incident took place just after 2pm and closed the trunk road in both directions.
Police say: "Police, Fire and Ambulance services are currently in attendance at a three vehicle road traffic collision on the A9 near to Drumochter.
"As a result of this collision it has been necessary to close the road in order for the incident to be dealt with.
"Snow and blizzard conditions in the area are also badly affecting the A9 and police are advising motorists to drive with care and to allow plenty of time for your journey.
