Police appeal for information following vandalism in Tain

Police Scotland is appealing for information following vandalism at the Rose Garden on Tain High Street.

Two memorial benches have been irreparably damaged sometime between midday on Friday, September 29, and 7am yyesterday.

The benches are each valued in the region of £300.

Constable Andrew Shepherd said: “To cause this kind of damage at a valuable community facility is a completely mindless and unacceptable act.

“I would urge anyone with information to contact police in Tain by calling 101, quoting reference NE14611/17, or call Crimestoppers anonymously  on 0800 555 111.”
