Gaelic Festival

Gaelic Festival – Fèis an Iar Thuath (the North West Festival of children’s Gaelic music and drama workshops ) is back, fresh from last year’s runaway success, and better than ever say the organisers.

This year’s line-up includes a sizzling step-dance class, tin whistle, guitar, keyboard, fiddle, Gaelic song and drama and, of course, the highly popular folk group class.

The fèis takes place at Scourie Hall and School on Friday and Saturday, 17th and 18th February, and application forms can be had from Sheilah Cunningham at sheilahcunningham@btinternet.com

Please book early to avoid disappointment.

As before, expect a Friday night Tutors’ Cèilidh packed with outstanding talent and a finishing Children’s Concert on the Saturday afternoon, a chance to show off those newly-honed skills!

The excellent Stage Café at Scourie Hall will, once again, provide shelter and sustenance to the budding young performers’ roadies and assistants (aka mums), so don’t worry if you’re coming from far away – you’ll be well looked after.
