Users of the A9 trunk Road at the Causewaymire south of Loch Rangag, are set to benefit from a Transport Scotland investment of £235,000 in a carriageway resurfacing scheme - but the work will cause delays.
The works have begun today and are set to continue for two weeks, working Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm.
To allow the works to proceed in safety, traffic management will be in place with a single lane closure and convoy working.
In total approximately 14,250m² of resurfacing works is programmed to be carried out, over a total length of approximately 2150m.
To minimise disruption the works will be constructed in a controlled manner, with good communication between affected parties. Supervision of the scheme will be carried out by Scotland Transerv.
Every attempt will be made to ensure that access to properties will, be maintained throughout the construction period. Emergency vehicles will have unrestricted passage at all times.
Scotland Transerv apologises for any inconvenience caused as a result of these necessary works.
Motorists should allow extra time for their journeys and pay attention to any advisory signs which will be in place throughout the works.
