Golspie Sutherland 0, Brora Rangers 4

THE goals were shared out among the team as Brora Rangers booked their place in the next round of the North of Scotland Cup after a comfortable victory over Golspie Sutherland at King George V Park last night.

Dale Gillespie scored the only goal of the first half when he volleyed home after a Ritchie Hart free kick was only partially cleared.

The Highland league side doubled their advantage in the 52nd minute when Alex MacLeod drifted past a couple of defenders and let fly from outside the 18-yard box.

It was all over as a contest when Liam Baxter finished off a fine flowing move a couple of minutes later.

Steve MacKay completed the scoring in the 65th minute when he slipped the ball past Golspie goalkeeper Gordon MacRae after Hart supplied the final ball.

Brora have been drawn away to Thurso in the next round.

BRORA face Highland League champions Forres Mechanics at Mosset Park on Saturday in their opening match of the 2012-13 season – kick-off 3pm.
